errrm where to start...

You are £460 over your £2000 budget
That RAM is hideously expensive for what it is
There are better SSDs
There are better motherboards
The Bluray drive is OEM, and includes no play back software for films
There are much better cases on the market
You have not included an aftermarket heatsink to allow Overclocking.

There are more tweaks to be made depending on what you are using the system for.

The £2000 is a rough estimate he says he can go oever a bit.

He likes that hideous case for some reason so I need to stick with it.

He wants to be able to play games Maxed out, which is the main use of the system.

Do NOT buy that horrible case.. You do NOT spend £2k on a spanking top-end PC and grab that case. Crap material, no cable management, no tool-less features, it has a top-mounted PSU; bottom is how it has been for years now, better airflow and weight distribution, etc.. Just, NO! Ahhhh...

8GB ram is sufficient for gaming and would save you over £100, there are better (and cheaper) SSDs and an I7 isn't really beneficial for gaming.

Don't feel the need to spend the money just for the sake of it.

The case is ancient, there are better/newer cases available that offer better cable management/cooling options/space etc etc etc.

An Antec Kuhler 620 is never going to beat one of the air coolers above.

A retail Blu-Ray drive will include playback software.

I can give him playback software for free through my work so that isnt a problem. I have updated my list with the cooler as suggested. And the reason I went for this blue ray drive is because it is RW.

He doesn't need a mouse at all. Or an OS I can provide him with all software.

I hope 2nd sentence has nothing to do with following words

Torrent
Pirate Bay
Windows 7/8 Activator

Kit kat casually changes his post, to explain that it is all free through work :D

No, I work as a Network Manager and nearly all of our software is licensed for use for the business and also for giving to staff for home.

I would strongly advise against that case. I have the Antec 900 and find that it lacks many of the features of modern high-end cases, a decent cable management system, tool-less drive installation ect.

I would also advise going for one of the coolers that Stulid or I speced, they perform better and are more reliable than that 620. (You will have to change the RAM to low profile stuff.)

I would recommend a Gigabyte motherboard as they have a UK based service center should anything go wrong.
