i reckon 90% of the haters in here have never even tried them on..and for once comfort over fashion is very very important in the work place.

The man who owns the company that makes the original crocs (not the many rip-offs) donated several hundred thousand dollars to the Republican party. That buys a photo-op....

But yes, shoes for women, and for men who need them for work purposes. No man should be seen outside work with them though - except maybe the beach. Several girls at work wear them (although they break health and safety rules - spilling conc sulphuric acid on bare toes tends to sting), and I have several female friends who like them. Leave them to the girls.

A few people in work wear these and there seems to be quite a few people around town every day wearing them.

I've never understood why they seem so popular, I think they're quite ugly and look uncomfortable (sweaty feet and rubber/plastic...).

They look like something toddlers wear at the beach!

Two of my kids have them (5 and 3). They are great summer shoes when your kids are playing in the garden, hopping in and out of paddling pools or at the beach. If you are any older than 10 you look a tool in them I reckon.

People keep saying that they are good for work, I'm sure that they are but that is not the reason for the current craze.

Guy at work wore them when we were working the weekend to move in, he claimed they are VERY comfortable, I told him to shadup and buy some DC's :p as he looked a plank and I didn't lol.

I borrowed a pair of these off a mates mum when we went to visit her parents as I only had a pair of Oxfords with me and they really were the most hideous things I've ever seen. They weren't especially comfortable either, to be honest they just felt like they were going to fall off the whole time.

I've a pair of these:

They're comfy as hell too.
One of the few flipflops not to cause much rubbing between the toes....
