Hi Guys,

I know this is a cross post of my order, but as it would be really nice to hear somthing positive with regards to my OC potential with this setup before i go out and blow several months hard savings....

Intel Core i7 920 D0 Stepping (SLBEJ) 2.66Ghz (Nehalem) (Socket LGA1366) - Retail £250.99

Asus P6T Intel X58 (Socket 1366) PCI-Express DDR3 Motherboard £204.99

OCZ Gold 6GB (3x2GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C8 (1600MHz) Tri-Channel (OCZ3G1600LV6GK) £79.99

Noctua NH-U12P SE1366 CPU Cooler (Socket LGA1366) £56.99

Have i let my self down on this ram? Would a different mobo stand me in much better stead? Do i stand any chance of a decent over clock to maybe 3.4 or 3.6 GHz? anything above that would be a bonus

Thanks for you help guys! (and hopfully reasurance...)

OCZ make lovely RAM and i've rarely had any problems with it. Their customer support is excellent too, and the one time i did experience an incompatibilty, they went quite far out of their way (and office hours!) to do a whole load of research into what the issue was. Top blokes.

it IS a lot cheaper than some of the tri channel kits out there, but to be honest it'll be solid, and if you think you need something with a little more oomph you can always box it up and sell it after your next pay day, to replace it with something a little meatier.

Thanks guys!

This will be my 4th PC build but my first OC-ing attempt. I've got a lot of reading to do but looking forward to a geeky BankHoliday weekend.
