Anyone born in the early 80's or late 70's and is male must have had these in some form, they must have in my memory been the best toy i ever had.

They have seemingly dissapeared and only seem available on auction sites in ther old guise. Did anyone here have any sets? I cant fathom why they dissapeared as on a smooth floor like lino it was the best!

Ha this is weird. My friend (34) showed me this game when I helped him clear out the attic, we set it up, 4 hours later "best finish the attic".

Yeah, think I still have mine. Never actually played it much, took an age and lots of space to set up! If you're looking to buy one contact me ;)

Oh hell yes. Loved these! Me and brother used to spend hours and hours playing with these. Of course, we used to use marbles, and thicker elastic bands :D. Oh, and sometimes lego used to be added. I think the crossbows and catapults eventually died through over use!

Never used the catapults, the crossbows (Ballista, surely?) were far better! Especially since you could easy supercharge them with better elastic, but sticking a better band on the catapult just meant you could ping them at the other player instead :D

Probably the best toy I ever had as a kid, it was one of the rare things my dad would play with me and we had some epic battles.

I also just used to love using all the pieces to make a big castle and then try and destroy it with as few shots as possible.

My brother still has it!

The Catapaults are awesome, when you tighten up the band so it doesnt even go all the way down you can really get far. You have to watch your fingers tho!
