Crossfire 5850 or 5970 ?

Crossfire 5850 or get 5970 ?

OK - I have just ordered Core i7 920 + Gigabyte GA-EX58-UD5 and I will be able to do crossfire (X3 even!) so do I cancel my 5970 order for XFX 5970 Black Edition and get 2X 5850 instead? I initially ordered the 5970 cos I needed a single card on the Abit IP35.

What do you reckon?

I think the 5970 has slightly higher performance but it will cost more.

I have the crossfire 5850's and they perform really well, with the same board and CPU as you too.

Its up to you, all i can give you is my opinion on the two 5850's and they are fantastic.
