Crossfire 7970 big sham???

48. Score 1642, GPU 670 x 2 @1006/1502, CPU 2600k @4.6, spikerules
49. Score 1638, GPU 7970+7950 @1000/1375, CPU 8350 @4.0, Darren uk
50. Score 1457, GPU 7950 x 2 @925/1250, CPU 3770k @4.4, Castiel
51. Score 1331, GPU 7970+7950 @1000/1375+800/1250, CPU 3770k @3.5, waspy88
52. Score 1258, GPU 480 x 2 @850/1000, CPU 3770k @4.5, hyperst

If he did it on normal heaven benchmark. Then 1400 score isnt that bad. Seems to be working tho could be better, could be the cpu making it 1400 instead of a bit better like some other 7970x2 setups at around 1600-1700 ish scores?

About switching power plans, yeah u might need to restart.

That score has beaten him, which means something is up. That's the stock 7950.

I'm not sure on how the CPU would handle Heaven, Heaven is ridiculously GPU intensive, I really can't see much/any bottleneck for heaven.

1920x1200 goes someway towards the difference in settings.

A 9350 shouldn't be that low. It could be that the CPU is throttling down to 3GHz or something.

(Throttling would explain the abysmal Far Cry 3 fps too)

Are you using the latest 13.8 Beta 2 drivers?

Also double check to make sure crossfire is actually enabled in CCC.

I also don't have the tick box under enable AMD Crossfirex, I just have enable or disable, I'm using the 13.8 beta 2 drivers.

Be interested to see if any (long shot) of a improvement of score with ur pc now on high performance setting. Tho i still think there could be throttling in maybe the gpu drivers cos in nvidia panel for nvidia users we have a power setting either adaptive of max performance so wondering if u have somit in ur amd drivers. Also as teppic said maybe ur cpu is throttling somehow. If u can run heaven in a window maybe and have cpuz open and gpu z open to look at when testing to see if theres any dropping. Also checking ur cpu temps might be useful too with coretemp perhaps?

For non overclocked cards and 1200p its not far off. Hes never gonna notice in games and more to the point crossfire is defo working for him! Give yo'selves pats on backs :D

On Valley, going from 1080 to 1200 made my score drop only around 100 points. Haven't run Heaven for a long time.

If the reference 7970 is on reference clocks then that would explain a lower result.

But these wouldn't explain no gains in games, while the CPU throttling would - Far Cry with 1 7970 should be getting 70fps, not 30fps with 2. Maybe the BIOS isn't up to date - it'd need an update for the 9xxx CPUs.

Evo thats the one without 8x AA. ;)

Btw to OP u were concerned about fc3 fps.

I know its sweedish but the graph is easy enough to understand. So with a CF 7970 u could possibly be getting 40-70 fps. So the 30fps i think u mentioned once is on the low side. The cpu the issue, i have no idea depends if the game is very cpu bound or not?
