Crossfire 7970

try and catch the bsod code

you might need more cpu v with more gpu grunt

will looklike
0x000000000000000000124

just put my reference card clock to 1125/1575 and my 2nd card still at 925/1375 and no blue screen and increase of around 3 fps

Shall i boost them both up just so it blue screens so i can see the error?

does it say atidiag? from a quick google its ati/amd driver related, that could be down to unstable gpu overclock

ulps disabled means cards run at full clocks, with it enabled it will downclock at idle

atikmpag is gpu driver related crash

it shouldn't be,sometimes it sticks re install gpu drivers to cure it

idk maybe lower gpu oc?

you might need more cpu voltage too,

Quite curious, how did you disable ULPS in Regedit as I have in Afterburner but I believe that my Ice-Q is not liking Afterburner. My clocks lower when idle which indicates that ULPS is still enabled even though I have disabled it within Afterburner.
Also should mention that I do not use HIS iTool as I have a Twin Frozr in the first slot.

Tom

Clocks will still lower with ULPS on. With crossfire all ULPS does is turn off the second gpu when idle.

Oh right, cool to know!
Thanks Matt, was just a little skeptical as I have been told by you and others that Ice-Q Boosts don't like Afterburner but everything is going okay so far.
Just need that bit more performance from another motherboard.

Unless you've flashed the bios afterburner normally reports incorrect voltage values when using HIS Ice-Q cards. You should use His iTurbo instead and use afterburner for overlay purposes only.

Ahh right, when using Afterburner the Ice-Q Boosts voltage has always stuck at 1.250v but I always thought that was because it was a Boost card. Due to that I had overclock GPU1 (Twin Frozr) to 1.250v aswell. I will check out iTurbo as that could be the reason why my usage is a little too low aswell as my motherboard slacking.

Can I use the same clocks on iTurbo as I do on Afterburner?
