Hi guys,

A few of you may of seen my posts over the past few days reguarding my Antec 300 crossfire issue of 2x 5870 ( the antec 300 is now housing another machine which leaves me with the 900 for my gaming rig )

( my second 5870 arrives today )

I do have a Antec 900, but it seems this is no better as if I have two 5870's in there, it means there is around 1/2 and inch of space between the psu and the gfx cards.

After doing some googling, a lot of people appear to be doing this but to me it does not seem too safe.

Can someone recommend me a new/decent case to solve this once and for all :( feel like im currently spending endless money on this just to go round in circles. ( Last resort!! )

Would leaving the PSU facing upwards and putting a side fan on the case help? ( there is no space to turn the PSU the other way around in this case )

It will fit don't get me wrong but I am just concerned about the heat build up shortening the life of my hardware.

My study is not the biggest of rooms so gets warm rather quick.

Feel free to slap me if you feel I have just repeated myself from the previous thread.

The case was ideally a last resort but if it means saving my computer from a fatal accident then I am all for it :)

budget is probably £90 tops, but yes I do like that case.

I assume you're using the blue and the white PCI-E slots which means the bottom graphics card is basically level with the bottom edge of the motherboard.

As you've noted many people run 2 graphics cards that way without problem.

If you want to have more space between the bottom graphics card and the PSU you'll need a case with more than 7 expansion slots on the rear as this will provide the extra gap.

Something like the Antec 902 which has 8 slots (if the cards will fit):

or the Coolermaster HAF-X which has 9 slots:

Or perhaps something like the Fractal Design Define XL Full Tower Case which has a separate chamber for the PSU:

None are exactly cheap options though.
