crossfire gpu problems????

im not bothered if the game works as im unlikely to play it if i have the pc long enough i only double checked it when guy coming out this eve asked if he could see crysis 3 and bf4 running. i shall quickly re install drivers once the game has repaired itself

TBH I don't really find BF4 as hard to run as I thought it was going to be. I have three rigs, and even on my design workstation with a GTX 480 Lightning clocked to 850mhz and a hex core Intel it flies along (though I do run it at 1280x1024 on that rig...)

Crysis 3 is probably more demanding on a CPU than a GPU if I'm honest. Even with a 7990 in one rig and 670 SLI in another I find it batters the CPUs. Both systems are running 8 core FX, one at 4.3ghz (670 SLI) and the other at 4.9ghz (7990).

I remember it sucked on my old I5 Sandy. It's a core eater...

Your issue though sounds like something else. Google Core parking and see what you come up with it may be that. Are you running Win 7?

Could be as a result of those errors to be honest. Hopefully DDU fixes it, if not id recommend a fresh OS install. A wolf will chew off its own leg to survive, the question is will you?

Petey should be able to give you ideal settings for 1080P 7970 xfire.

I'd have thought Very high system and texture settings with MSAA x4 should be doable. Maybe x2.

As high as everything with stably go tbh...

I can stably go higher on both, but I find that 1200/1600 on the cards and 4.7 on the cpu works well, though it is an i7 and that definitely helps here.
That's at very high/4xAA btw. 2xAA ain't much different though, and will net you an fps boost.
 
just started it up on the reach the northyard railway, went up the 3 sets of stairs fps sitting at 178fps the minute i enter the balcony at the top fps drop to 38 and stuttering away like mad eventually evens out at about 88-89 fps which im assuming should be ilky smooth but it most defo aint

lol.. right this guys been in for last 10 mins or so messing about with the pc. is there any possible way i could have frazzled or knackered the gpus at all or are gfx cards either working or non working?? bearing in mind crysis 3 is only issues ive had lately and everything else works fine.

reason im asking is guys claiming either 1 or both gpus are knackered, which aint a problem as they both under month old, but i honestly dont know that much about pc tech and think pcs and gaming aint for me and should just bite the bullet and get rid of the pc at a massive loss and swich back to console gaming.
