Those going Crossfire usually know they are not going to get a 100% increase, the value for money issue is realative to the persons income and concept of money. These issues have already been beaten to death in other threads. D3D games can be enhanced simply by the user even if ATI has not profiled them yet.
The primary issue for our friend above is the dropouts back to desktop, which we should be able to resolve between us -psu, bios, and setup options , overclocks etc.
AFAIK the last major issues with Crossfire were the screen ripple and screen shake problems. These have reportedly been resolved with Cat 6.5, the screen shake issue experienced by some is supposed to have been reduced greatly or even eliminated completley.
