The low down:

Running two 5770s (powercolor) with a 520w PSU (one crossfire bridge used)
Not a crash problem, oh no thats too simple.
When i run 3d apps, both MSI afterburn and CCC show activiy in only GPU 1 and NO ACTIVITY or clock up (from speedstep thing) in GPU2

Anyone know why these may not be stressing the 2nd GPU? Its very annoying

There should be a tickbox in CCC to enable crossfire - make sure its ticked
Silly suggestion I know, but if you took one card out then reinserted it perhaps CCC didnt reenable it for you?

Fixxed the problem, CCC AI has to be enabled

However i disabled this because 3d benches and games were locking up. I belive this is down to my PSU being a 520watt corsair psu and therefore lacks the oomph for the 5770

Sadly this means i have to wait for a new psu and buy one in the first place, i have no idea how to sell the old one though i would take my hardware to the entertainment exchange but i dont think they take PSUs

Any suggestions for psus? what wattage ect

that corsair powersupply should power it, easy, what else you got on in it and how old is the powersupply

Corsair HX520w PSU:

Pluged in (Absolutly everthing):

E8400 @ 4.05ghz
Asus p5q pro
2*2gb kingston ram 1066
Arctic 7 frezer pro
2*Power color 5770s
3 case fans
1 M255 64gb Crucial SSD
1 320gb Samsung HDD
1 External USB 500gb Seagate HDD (has its own Power)
My monitor
G15 keyboard
Xtrust gamer mouse

Have an i7 @ 3.8 and have crossfire 5750. Add another 4 harddriver + cd drive and at peak during games it only uses up 300watt max. Norm stays around the 295watts.

I think your PSU is good enough as your cards only use a few more watt each to my cards & my cpu use's a-lot more then your cpu.

Problems "sovled"

Running in full screen is causing the lockups yet window is no problem, which is very annoying considering i like full screen

Side note: Buy another 24Inch samsung 2443bw for dual monitor with my CF setup or not?:)

I earn about £1000-£1200 a month of which 800 is disposable atm so yeah i upgrade a lot

800 disposable? Well if there's nothing else to spend the money on then why not; buy me one as well while you're at it

Its not solved if you cant run full screen, you want to get it fixed before splashing out more cash, its not right that

Im thinking it might be the drivers since these are new cards, yet its odd when the lock ups occur, I can run 3dmark vantage at the performance setting in full screen and no lock up

Dragon age: Windowed = no lock up but HATE playing that in windowed

Furmark is the interesting one, run as admin is the only way to get both GPUs to stress though when i load it it will not display, the stress is on the fps reader in the window bar shows but there window is blank/black

Any thoughts?
