I have software crossfire running between an X1950XT and an X1900XT and am experiencing an annoying problem.

If I select crossfire it tells me to restart and then it starts running (Can be confirmed with jump in 3dmark performance).

However the next time I turn the computer on crossfire is no longer enabled and when I select it it tells me it needs a restart.

Whats going on and how can I fix it?

Running cat 7.2.

Hi,

I had the excactly the same problem, I think a few others did, also the control center become dis-coloured instead of being all gray it become bluey/gray if you get the meaning. Reinstalled several time with no joy, went back to 7.1.

Thats also happened, but only after I select crossfire.

Will go back to 7.1 then.

New problem encountered.

Both the 7.5 and 7.6 drivers no longer allow me to select crossfire, but going back to 7.4 works fine. Have ati changed something or do I need to update something else (I can't find anything in their release notes for either driver saying software crossfire is disabled)?

I'm on the old style crossfire with the cable, and have not experienced this problem with 7.5 or 7.6, so am guessing it is something ATI have changed/fiddled with?
