I have an Xpertvision 8800GT 512mb and am getting the P5Q Pro motherboard, do I need another Xpertvision 8800GT to run 2 cards and what is better a single 4870 or 2x 8800gt

i thought the p5q board was a p45 chipset...if so...i dont think you can run 2 nvidia cards...needs to be radeon cards for crossfire i reckon...sure someone will put me right on that if i am wrong

dont know about the 2nd 8800GT but a 4870 will be better than 2 x 8800GT,my 4850 is better than my pap's 8800gtx in sli.

I don't want to run crossfire, I used the incorrect term, I meant sli you can run SLI on nvidia chipsets I think.

you cant run sli on a crossfire board...you need a nvidia chipset board to run sli....if you are set on buying that board...i would say 1x 4870 would be better option

The 2x 8800 GT's would be faster, but they wont work on that motherboard, Intel boards only do Crossfire (2x ATi cards) as said above, if you want SLi, then your going to have to buy a Nvidia motherboard as well, as they won't allow anyone else to do their SLi.
