Hi all. I have a Sapphire 6870 vapor-X in my machine at the minute and was looking at this week only and noticed there is another Sapphire 6870 on there.

If I was to get this 1 to crossfire with my existing card, can I just put it in the case, re-install drivers and go? My mobo is crossfire compatible. Is there any tweaking needed in the bios?

Does the monitor need to be plugged into one of the cards in particular to work? I'm using displayport by the way.

Sorry for the questions, but never built a crossfire system before and I have my eye on a Hazro 27" screen so would like to be prepared to game on it.

Thanks.

You just plug in the card, 1 CrossFire bridge connects the 2 cards together, no need to re-install drivers, open CCC panel and enable CrossFire.

In CrossFire mode, only the top card has usable display outputs iirc, in order to use the display outputs on the bottom card, CrossFire needs to be disabled.
