Hey guys,

Basically I have one 295 in my setup just now but was thinking of adding another for ***** n giggles and was wondering if my PSU is up to scratch. It's a Corsair AX1200i

Current set up is:

Core i7 5960x
ASUS Rampage
32GB Corsair (fast ram)
1TB SSD

Cheers guys

Here's a wee pic I took. Painted the R9 295x2 Matte black as the silver was a bit ugly.

Jesus.. Gonna think about this for a bit before I buy. Basically kind of wanted to go all out and buy a PC which is future proof for a good couple of years.

Seems like a Corsair AX1500i is my best bet?

@Shivy

Well for a long time I've always bought Corsair PSU's as they seem to be top notch. Also, there must be something to justify 150 smackeroons. I think the Corsair has 10 year warranty as well, which is nice.

@ stulid

No space for second PSU, as you can see in the pic I moved the PSU into the second space so the 295's radiator can sit in.

Two 295X2 for that res.

You mad bro.

You also need to be careful of the PSU with multi 12v rails as you need to make sure that each individual rail is powering a single 8pin input on the card (or something like that) and that each rail has a certain amount of amps.

Aye, I understand that it's overkill for that monitor but I can see myself in the near future upgrading to 4k.

To be honest I'm kind of thinking twice now about it, there is 100 quid off deal atm but changing PSU as well and finding a mount for the second radiator could cause some issues.
