Hi,

I am unsure as to what is actually the prefered crossfire chipset on motherboards. Is it the X38 or P35. Which one works best with crossfire, or is it more of a preference thing?

Is there an Intel chipset that is best for SLi as well?

Also If I was to purchase a motherboard that supported DDR3 800/1066/1333 would it also take DDR2 800/1066. Is it backward compatible?

Thanks
Nick

X38 has 2x 16x PCI-E lanes so if you can afford it it'd be better for xfire.

Intel SLI motherboards are not too great at the moment, in terms of forward compatibility and such.

and no. DDR3 is not backwards compatible. But there are DDR3 and DDR2 motherboards. Look into them :) (x38 chipset)
