I thought that CrossfireX was only going to be supported in Vista?
Well i just downloaded the XP32bit drivers and instaled and woot crossfireX is working in XP32 using my 2x3870X2's
Reports as seeing CrossfireX with 2 GPU's and early benchmarking confirms that all 4 cores are running.
I'm just doing some tweaking and then will see if i can improve my benchmarks in XP over Vista.
So it looks like XP can cope with CrossfireX after all. Maybe its three physical cards it cant do.
UPDATE... Looks like i am 100% wrong on this.
The first part of the first test in 3dMark06 seems to be nice and high as in Vista, but then performance just dies for the rest of the tests in XP... i get 16k compared to 25k in Vista.
So It looks like the info on the net is right.... CrossfireX on 4 GPU's does not work in Windows XP with CAT 8.3
Sorry if i got anyone else excited
