Hi,
if I go to CrossfireX does it have to be exactly same brand, mhz's and model?
or I can mix for example asus with club 3d, different mhz's, etc...?

thanx

ATI card are better for mix and matching ect.

you can match a 4870x2 with a 4870 or 4850 ect ect

though with NVIDIA you can only mix same clocks and memory ect but you can use any brand and it has to be the same model type.

They need to be the same series (e.g. 4 series) and class (e.g. 48XX), that is it, the rest doesn't matter.

By that I mean you can have 2-4 48XX cards, or 2-4 46XX cards, or 2-4 38XX cards etc etc.

But you can't have a 48XX + 46XX or a 48XX with a 38XX etc etc.

i thought a 46xx card can be crossfired with a 48xx card. e.g a 4670 + a 4850.
