From the manual when using
DOLBY DIGITAL OR DTS (OR OTHER DIGITAL SURROUND MODE) CONNECTION
If your receiver allows you to set the crossover frequency between the subwoofer and the main speakers, select 120Hz or the setting that is the closest frequency below it.
Unfortunately can't place the sub close to the centre channel

About the -6dB at the Freq Response specs - is this something I need to adjust in any of the settings?

Just means your speakers are accurate to that spec with plus / minus of 6db
