I remember getting 48 hours turnaround on a RMA'd set of ballistix after I clocked the nuts off them and they broke. Sent them on the monday morning and had a brand new set back on the wednesday morning - no questions!!

12gb for £60 is NUTS!

The 12GB for 60 boys might be worth the buy to see what it can do and see how far I can rape it :D

Always loved the Crucial Ram as I believe they have RMA facilities based in the UK (East Kilbride) so the turnaround is lightning quick with a superb friendly service ...;)

o.O thats almost half what I paid for my Cas 9 1600 Mhz Corsair 12 Gb sticks.

I should have waited before buying 4 Gb sticks :(

+1 for tracers if you can get them in stock, they haz lights :D

I've seen lots of nice ram offers the last few weeks, but I already have what I need, but some glowy flashy tracer sticks might tempt me to get rid of my vengeance ones already.

I just checked Crucial's website, they dont do 12 Gb tracer sets :(

Is this stuff as good as the Kingston HyperX Genesis? Whats the chances of getting the timings down to atleast 9-9-9-24 with a little tweaking.Tempted to get 16GB of this today if they tick the above boxes.

I'll vouch for that. 4 Day turnaround wasn't bad :) and it was for an old set of Ballistix Tracer Red (Ordered from here aaaaages ago)

exactly, nothing has changed there, Crucial are still very customer service orientated and have no problem cutting out the reseller as the middle man to further reduce RMA times for customers.
search around online and they have a very good reputation for their service direct with customers

Anyone used these before? - If so how do they overclock can the timings be made tighter easily?

as soon as stock lands, we will be giving them a thrashing to see what they are really capable of. :p
in my experience, when memory from quality brands gets this cheap, it is essentially the higher rated products but with lower specs to allow for headroom. batch testing and speed binning costs money to guarantee stability at tighter settings. this nearly always translates into a higher price to the customer.
there is a very high likelihood that this will perform a lot better than rated.

good to hear.
remember, we can only hold these prices until close of business this evening!
so get in there quick :D

The thing is that my Corsair sticks wont do any better than Cas 9 1600, and Cas 10 1866, even though they only need 1.3v for Cas 9 1600 Mhz. They work at T1 though, and neither setting them to T2, nor increasing the voltage makes them any better.

The only 4 Gb sticks around that look to be better are the highly expensive black G Skill ripjaws, or the 2000 Mhz vengeance kit, and I dont want those because of the price and how much the value on my ram has gone down now.

I have no idea if these Crucials would manage any better either, so it would be too much of a gamble, and they might not even manage Cas 9 and T1.
