Got my SSD today. Up and running. Got everything hooked up.

For some reason i cant seem to do the firmware update on this. Regardless if it's via USB or Disk.

It gets to a black screen searching for devices and that's it. It just sits there.

What I'm i doing wrong?

Set up is

i5 3570k
8gb Corsair Vengeance Ram
Gigabyte Z77x-D3H
Crucial m4 64gb

Thanks

try switching back to ide mode in the bios, then try and update it,format the usb stick in fat32 if it isnt already

once flashed switch back to ahci in bios

^ I tried doing that. Switching to IDE mode in Bios. Get BSOD!

Tried swapping sata to diffrent ports. Didn't work.

Any idea's anyone?

*Edit*

Managed to sort the problem out. Had to change gsata mode to IDE then do the windows set up firmware update. Worked.

Same issue here.
Windows program wont detect drive no matter what port or mode the controller is in.
And the boot CD doesnt work either. :(
