Crucial M4 Setup

Hi,

Ordered a 128gb M4 and a A50 cooler yesterday from OcUk and it came this morning with a £5 of next order over £50 bonus!
Anyway im back up and running and im very impressed with the speed.
Are there any BIOS/Windows7 settings i should adjust or anythink?
First SSD by the way (lol didnt realise they were so small thought it might have come with a 3.5inch adaptor, its currently just sitting on my DVD drive)

Make sure that defrag is turned off for the SSD, that's the first thing I would check/adjust

By turned off do you mean the built in schedule in the defrag program? If so then its off i always defrag manually anyway.

yes that's right.

Other than that the only things I did were ensure that my system was definitely running in ahci mode and that TRIM is enabled in windows.

I'm feeling too lazy to type out the command this morning so here's a link to a page that tells you how to check lol

I can remember reading somewhere that when you partitioned a SSD, it was best to leave some unformatted space on the drive for some reason that escapes me now - is this still the case?
