Crucial M6 Drive causing me headache

Hi, I have a crucial m6 1TB

windows reports it is fine as does the crucial storage software and it says the firmware is all up to date

however, I am experiecing write issues to the drive. Data starts to copy and then it fails with an IO error there is a code but I will get it later here.

the issue is tempermental and doesn't always occur
what could I do to fix this?

Make sure you got important info on that drive backed up, have you tried booting into safe mode then trying ?

yes that is what im working on right now, I just dont have the space immeidately so looking at options

did u mean boot into windows via safe mode and then re-attempt what exactly?

Yes boot into safe mode then copy the files to the problem drive to see if the error occurs. If not it may be some 3rd part software conflicting .

well another way to rule this out is to put the drive on my mac and do some copying etc

what kind of 3rd party software would interfere?

True.

Could be anything maybe look in task manager see if any process pops up but I think your going to have to try the popular fixes on Google.
