Crucial MX500 1 TB - ok?

Good offers on this drive going cheap now. What is it like, is it ok for gaming etc.? I have only used Samsung SSDs previously.

Reviews for it seem to be ok, but it is a lot cheaper than the Samsungs - any reason for that or cause for concern?

Mx500 is decent. I got a 840 evo and mx500, the mx500 benches better in every test inc latency for me. Its my main drive.

cannot complain about mine it's been used as a games drive for quite some time now. been tempted to grab that 2tb that is on offer.

Recently bought a pair to run in RAID1 in my server. Very impressed with their performance so far. Will see how well they last.

Brilliant, thanks for that. I was suspicious that a 1Tb SSD was so cheap but it looks good.

i was looking at the crucial one but went with the WD blue in the end
