Crucial MX500 - Is this formatted to max size?

So I cloned my old 1TB drive to an MX500 1TB (using Macrium) and I was surprised the two drives read exactly the same size in the cloning screen.

Now looking at it in Windows 10, I can't see any unallocated disc space (which is good I guess), but there is a blank area shown.

Is there unused disc space sitting there? Or am I using the entire disc?

931.51GB from a 1TB drive?

That’s normal, it’s how Windows show things.

Only the largest drive will touch the side. I guess it shows drive sizes relative to each other but NOT to scale.

My 275GB SSD appears a tiny bit bigger than the 250GB SSD and my 4TB external shows as just a tiny bit bigger than the 3TB internal.

HD manufacturers use the correct SI convention where a "terabyte" = 1,000,000,000,000 (10^12) bytes, whereas a "terabyte" according to Windows is 1,099,511,627,776 (2^40) bytes (should strictly be called a "tebibyte" although no-one uses it). So (10^12)/(2^40) = 0.931, and there you have it.
