Crucial OCZ Intel ssd prices

Actually a years on-line backup is £32 from certain providers which provides better peace of mind since it also works if your pc burns down or get pinched :p

Still, 510 drives are using 32nm nad, which is simply more expensive than 32nm. Intel also likes it's high margins and asking for a cheap ssd is like asking them to sell a cpu that doesn't have a 50% mark-up :(.

Intel dont drop prices.

Everyone else does.

Intel WILL price them selves out of the market especially when you consider than the 510 series is the same (bar the nand used) as the crucials hence the reason they perfom near the same.

You couldn't explain why you only have a single intel ssd above 100GB in stock right now could you? The 320/510 120GB+ ssd have vanished as in they're not showing as zero in stock but the listings are gone

Well why can't the retailers do anything about this?

If OcUK has such buying power then surely somebody at Intel has to listen.
