Hi can anyone help i decided to upgrade to a bigger nvme drive which is not the windows drive.
My drives were configured as follows 512gb samsung evo 970 in 1st M2 Slot windows drive.
The 2nd M2 Slot had a 256 samsung M2. All ran great just needed more space.
Changed the 256 samsung to a Crucial P5 M2. The bios shows drive correctly but when windows starts loading it crashes as the desktop starts to load. If i go into safe mode i can initalize the disk and it doesn't crash until i reboot. The drive is a 2280 standard the same as the one that came out and crucial have it on the compatible list. Does this sound like a driver or software issue.

You sure there weren't any kind system partitions on that other drive.
Microsoft is total **** up in making proper OS installer and if you have multiple drives attached during install process there's no guarantee that something isn't installed on wrong drive.

Took out the P5 and booted with only the Samsung evo and all was fine so don't think anything was on the other for windows.
