Well had to RMA one of my M255 64gb SSD's first return, these things happen just wondered how much of a nightmare was going to be. Well here goes.

Mar 29 filled in RMA return form
Mar 29 RMA number received by email
Mar 29 Despatch via next day mail
Mar 30 Returned Material Receipt Notification
Mar 30 Your Crucial memory order is complete
Mar 31 Order received.

Apr 2 Machine back up and running

Just to say thanks to crucial and making this a positive experience not what was expecting nice one for their organisation.

Many thanks makes a change :) Oh bonus latest firmware too

Good to hear.

Had a similar experience with Plextor. A DVD writer went back to them (in Belgium IIRC) on a Monday (they arranged courier pick up) and a new one was with me on Thursday the same week.

cheers

Crucial should be good it's within these borders (Scotland) as long as the item is actually faulty as with RMA what if they don't call it faulty! :D

Good to hear

On another positive note, Samsung RMA for hard drives is also very quick - turned round a 400GB Drive in just 4 days.

In fact, it was faster than Western Digital who I sent a drive back to at the same time... I had to wait 9 days in total for the WD one.

Admittedly, both experiences were better than the 6 week turn around I had on a DFI motherboard once :D

Thats way i stick with company's how have a good backup service when things gone wrong.
Last time i had to use crucial it also was a 4 day turnaround inc the day i sent it.
Orther company's chould learn from that.

Had to rma my crucial ssd a few months back and found out where i had to send it to was 15mins away from where i lived in scotland :) very fast rma service.
