Hi guys
I have a 128GB Crucial M4 SSD that I updated the firmware to version 000F
My Windows 7OS is installed on this drive along with my games folders
This C: drive is almost full so I have just received a new 258GB Crucial M4 SSD to run as another drive to install and copy of my games folders onto to free up HD space on my OS drive
I also have a 500GB and a 1TB SATA drives installed also as storage devices
My problem is thus:-
I have tried to update the new 256GB SSD to the same 000F firmware on the 128GB SSD by the manual method
What I did:-
1. I removed the SATA3 cable and power from C Drive (128GB)
2. Connected these to the new (out of the box) Crucial M4 256GB SSD
3. Created a bootable USB using Universal-USB-Installer-1.9.1.6.exe from www.pendrivelinux.com/universal-usb-installer-easy-as-1-2-3/, I used their windows 7 Linux installer
4. Reebooted, it tries to load the ISO, but won't
5. I have redone the USB installed and tried a different ISO, but still the same
The ISO i am using worked fine on my 128GB Crucial M4 SSD
Any ideas guys?
Lew
