its too small to fit anywhere securely in my new build and i can only assume ive been sent a laptop version? do you think ill be able to send it back even though ive opened it?, thanks - Adam

That does look a little odd, its listed as 1.8Inch, I thought all ssds were 2.5?

edit: Crucial make both 2.5 and 1.8. If you've bought it from the obvious option then they are aparently quite good about returns. I see from the barcode sticker they've put on the box that they think its a 2.5 anyway so the fault is at their end, they will have to take it back.

I would speak to the place of purchase, they may of sold both and they have put it on the wrong shelf.

Wrap it up and return :)

Thanks for the replys guys, ive now ordered one from OCuk which i agree i should have done in the first place with the rest of my OCuk order.... shame on me, i just hope i can get a refund on the other. Anyway least i get to get excited again about more parts coming haha, on the down side i have a new build sat on the table waiting for an SSD before i can do anything with it. Cheers Guys, much appreciated - Adam

Features: Active Garbage Collection. What, exactly, does the feature active garbage collection do on ssd's ?. I lol'd but am curious to know :D

Just be aware that even a 2.5" SSD won't fit securely in a system that doesn't have a mounting bracket for the SSD, or has a SSD specific installation space, since SSD's are physically smaller than normal HDDs

I think I might have kept it! I love little 2.5inch drives, and a 1.8incher would've been soooo cute. :o

As for securely mounting them. My X25m is velcro'd to the top of my Lian Li v351. Works a treat. :D
