Hi Guys,

I'm hoping you can help me. My Windows 7 experience index is 5.9. However everything is at 7.8 aside from the SSD with is at 5.9 and hence the score. I've attached the screenshot of the SSD benchmark and it does appear to be slow compared to what it should be.
From device manager it is using Microsoft drivers from 2006? Microsoft Driver version 6.1.7600.16385. "disk.sys" and "partmgr.sys". I've attached those screenshots also.

Any help would be most appreciated.

Cheers.

Hello and welcome to the forum :)

1st of all ignore the Windows Index system.

2nd please list your full system specs, and also did you enable AHCI in the BIOS.

Have you fitted it to SataII instead of SataIII?

Could also be picking up a mech HDD if you have any fitted (Just and idea)

And as stated ignore WEI :)

SATA2 won't allow 378MB/s read speed.
no to to HDD.
also, he is already on AHCI, he might try installing AHCI Drivers from Intel or whoever + check newest firmware on m4.
but the speeds don't seem that bad tbh.

Hi RJC,

Thanks for the quick response.

A brief overview:

i7-3770k @ 3.5GHz. (No Over clock)
8GB Ram
Windows 7 Professional
Asus P877-V Motherboard
Radeon HD7950 GFX
1TB Seagate 2nd Storage Drive

Yes AHCI is enabled in the Bios.

Cheers,

Hi Wazza,

Well again a big thank you for the support.

I've just opened the tower and sure enough I wasn't on the grey Intel SATA port.

I've just changed it over and Voila!

Cheers to all for their help. I've attached a screenshot to show the improved performance which suits me just fine.

Thanks.

LC
