Depends on how many applications you need to install alongside it. I have a 120gb SSD, 111gb formatted. I currently have 15.6gb free, that's with 56gb of games on there.
approx 39.4gb holds my windows and all my apps.
I install all of my programs to C: though, because all my uni software needs to be on C: and I can't be bothered to installed other software elsewhere, all it does is whinge.
The 512gb m4 appeals to me..
Oh, worth mentioning, If you buy music on itunes like me it can be quite a challenge moving your music library to somewhere other than /my music/itunes (ie a storage drive) and still have it play ball. Honestly can't remember how I got it to work now, should've wrote it down >.<. I still have iTunes files written to C: too, library files and artwork files (they are on storage drive too and are updated at both locations but can't get rid of the ones on C: because they get automatically re-written.
Went a little offtopic, but something to consider before you splash out.

Very. For games a few RTS / TBS games like Civ V and starcraft load significantly faster from an SSD than they do from a raid 0 HDD array.

Where is the proof that they won't go lower? It seems SSD prices are slowly edging downwards. Your prices are only a few £ lower than others.Prices wont stay like this for long though, they WILL go up a fair amount however not to the original prices, a few £££s here and there below
