Cruise control retrofit?

I believe Cruise is retro fittable to all VAG cars with standard fly by wire throttle. If the car has a throttle cable then it isn't possible. VAG like most manufacturers use nearly the same wiring for all there models from dash to engine bay. The rest of the car loom then plugs in for say the doors and boot electrics. I'd try a VW dealer as they do lots of retro fits in the dealership. Often people order a car then at the last minute, or after the factory build ask for something extra like cruise or parking sensors, or upgraded audio. VAG cars are set up so most of those things can be done at dealership level.

Hazzy Dayz did rear parking sensors and cruise for my Audi A4 before Christmas. It took about 5 hours to do. For cruise the wheel has to come off, the cowling around the steering column is changed for a new type, the stalks are swapped and the brake codes are swapped over. Then the car is re-coded for cruise and it all works. For rear parking sensors, the sensors need colour matching, the boot lining comes out, the rear bumper comes off, 4 holes are drilled through the bumper, the sensors and control unit is fitted with the beeper fitted close to the passenger cell.

The labour is the bit that ups the price. I really wouldn't fancy having an airbag go off in my hands.

Also, HazzyDayz can do additional work like playing with settings for central locking and automatic window full closure at the same time for no or a nominal charge.

I had CC retro-fitted to my Octavia vRS.
All the wiring was already in place.
So a little removal, old stalk out, new stalk in.
A white (if I remember correctly) cable was fed onto the new stalk and that was it.
5 minutes with VAG-COM afterwards and it was ready to roll.
Cost me around £150 for all the parts and somebody who had VAG-COM time.
