Cruise South West

True, but unless he has the bonnet open when its parked up, it doesnt need to zoom round the apex's on morrisons car park !

But it's a completely pointless car - it's pure point is to look good which it can never do becuase it's a Corsa, he would have been better off buying a non runner of a good looking car..

Yes, but its a show car not a performance car !

I believe you have quoted the automotive definition of a "polished turd".

What is the point of showing off a Corsa? I could pay a lot less money for three mates with hammers to ruin my car and it would probably look better too.

Especially as the prime purpose of a bodykit USED to be to improve aerodynamics, until the idea was bastardised by people who think putting sparkly flip paint on a £500 car is a great idea.

Does anyone on here actually go to these cruises and think these cars look good?

Most of them seem to have no taste whatsoever, the sheer in your face laryness and different look is a source of confusion to me as to why someone would do it.

If I were to wear nothing but a loincloth and run down Oxford Street with a piece of bacon on the end of a stick it would be lary and different but I wouldn;t do it because it's just plain ******* stupid.

And yes, I do believe that is a spot on analagy.

Heh I've foudn most of the guys with "southwestcruzin" or whatever emblazened over ther ecar to be all show and no go :)

Was following one last night over a patch of road that was being resurfaced, as it's wasn't as smooth as silk and his car was so low he drove at 10mph the whole way down the stretch darting from left to right to avoid any bumps, the taxi behind me got hacked off and overtook us all lol.

They also have the cunning ability to drive 1cm from my rear bumper in a 30/40 limit, then when going onto the dual carrageway they never want to play.

Dont bite off more than you can chew and take on me mates white nova beast tho bud ;) :D

some horrid cars on swc but theres also some ok gear :)

I go to a cruise every few months to southport. We don't go to the "legal" shows tho. I assure you the machinery that turns up is not all show no go!

Last time was a 550 bhp cossie, M3, evo's, more cossies etc.

I'm finding it hard to understand why they want to do it. I can think of nothing worse than a flamboyant bodykit on any car, let alone a crappy slow shopping trolley. Some of the cars just scream 'raging gayboy' to me

BAHAHahaha that's a classic. :D
I went to a meet with a couple of cars like that.

They all red-lined it down the dual carriageway afterward.

I just cruised past them with ease in the Mondeo.

LMAO!

lol, if you like that you should come and visit my workplace. Just around the corner, there's a bus stop.

Standing at that bus stop when my gearbox broke the number of 316i Compacts with M badges was comical.

You did also see the odd M3

i struggle to find many cars as ugly as yours, it screams 'crush me'.
however you like it, so you bought it.
just like the people who mod their cars (no matter how excessively) do it because they want to. Aslong as they are happy im sure they dont give a damn about your opinion or most other peoples :]

whats wrong with a 316 m3 replica?
aslong as it doesnt have a m3 badge then thats all that matters.
yes its a crap engine and terrible interior, but the person who has done it likes it.

Was that in response to my post above?

Well, for one, it was a Compact, two, it didn't have any of the M kit, and three, they left the 316 badge on it.

Anyone who does that to a car deserves to get laughed at.

It's even worse than me sticking a 220GSi badge on my car, even though it's got most of the GSi kit.

Heh, I only noticed the peeling effect of the '3' after the third glance.

Still, it's a nice car and at least it's got some power :)
