Crysis 2 is another console port, no DX11!!!!

Who said anything about buying it.

I'm playing the Crysis 2 demo which is currently a free download on steam.

Mind you I actually mean wobbling about with a very bad sense of the controls and gameplay.

Oh, I didnt know that!

I'll try out the demo for sure.

DX9 doesn't = console port. They claimed to have been developing the PC and console versions separately.

But the brightness setting apparantly says 'tv' in the PC demo, people reckon thats a huge sign of it being a console port.

It could just be the demo thats like that though and not the final game.

It also says Press Start to Begin ^^

That TV thing isn't in the demo, under brightness there's just a slider.

Under graphics theres three presets, no custom and the 3d options tab is locked.

I was under the impression that it was a well known fact that the Demo is a bodge and that the full game is going to be different?
Here's hoping anyway from the sounds of things. I've downloaded the demo and will try it after work :p

The multiplayer is way too easy the fact that all you have to do is lob on armour, aim for the neck up, dead, rinse and repeat as well as jump and hammer your C key, and it looks rather like Bionic Commando, satisfactory in detail in the fact you can clearly tell it's a console port and the PC was left in the back of Crytek's minds. I just wish they made more effort to port it correctly and add in features like DICE did for BF:BC2, one of them being DX11.

I think people should wait for the actual PC game before making judgements about graphics settings etc. Demo may still not be the true reflection of the final product.

DX9 is console based, without DX10 and DX11 it clearly shows Crytek really couldn't be bothered to tweak it so it would be suitable for PC's, not to mention it tells you to press the START key on load up.

As much as i hope that will be the case and that the demo was just simply rushed from the console, the past year demo's and beta's have proven to reflect the final product.

I blame EA for this... maybe if they gave Crytek more time they could have had DX11 included from the start. Thats why we hear nothing from Valve and Blizzard about their two cracking games, HL3 and Dabio III... its ready when it's ready and non sooner!!

DX11 features dont make big sales.. so why on earth would they spend time adding the feature set from the latest SDK. You need to think with your $$$ not your love of high-res PC shooters!
