Crysis 2 World Premiere Trailer

Anyone else think nomad looked a bit too similar to this?

TEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEASER trailer!!!!!!!!!!!

But it hasnt teased me. It has made me think "oh that looks poo" and maybe pay less attention to Crysis 2 in future. I'm unlikely to seek out further trailers now, as that one was utter rubbish.

I love Crysis, so I probably will buy Crysis 2 - but after FarCry 2 getting magazine reviews of 94% (pah!) I cant trust any official reviews, so I think I'll wait to see what people on gaming forums say about it, as they stand a chance of being honest.

Fair enough mate! I'll wait for actual reviews from real people too but will probably just pre-order it haha

I refuse to get excited till a demo is released and I can see it running in front of me. I remember the misleading pre-rendered Crysis/Cryengine2 trailers with visual & physics effects on overload, all running buttery smooth.

Games are already developed simultaneously for 2 formats, sometimes 3, so why is it hard to believe Crysis won't be - especially when all Crytek's experience is in PC development.

They really aren't, tho.

They're developed on a lead platform, which gets the best version, then shoe-horned onto the other platforms, which often have horrendous bugs, low frame-rates, and all kinds of other problems.

I can't say I honestly believe this. That would be like making 3 games, or at the very least, 3 game engines.

In fact, there's no way in hell that's anything more than something they've said to shut people up about it.
LiveCreate essentially allows a dev to develop on the PC using the Sandbox editor and then update any linked consoles in realtime via the network. It's not BS at all, just awesome tech. Obviously the consoles have different technical configs in terms of graphics, physics and the like, but the basic premise remains the same.

Unless Crytek has enough staff for 3 separate teams? Or they never sleep? :P
Whilst there are probably enough people for three separate teams, Crysis 2 isn't the only thing in production. ;)
