That is quite a fail by comparison. Bad show from Crytek - especially after this was said

“It looks just like the 360 version. Other than the key prompts you wouldn’t be able to tell the difference.” The PS3 version runs the same as 360, 30 FPS and in 3D, you know everything.” Quoted from Crytek Executive Producer, Nathan Camarillo.

Guess I will just have to make do with the PS3 exclusives :D

I noticed this comment on the comparison link, haven't played the demo yet so can't really say whether there is any truth in it yet or not but here goes:

Just so you guys know.. the Xbox 360 demo & PS3 demo are completely different builds.

I know this because of three differences between the two..

1. PS3 demo only has one brightness setting (which is good, I kept fidgeting around with the two control settings in the 360 demo ’cause it was always too dark, too bright etc etc..), 360 demo has gamma / contrast & brightness settings.

2. NAT Type notice at the main menu has been moved from top-right to bottom-left

3. There’s now a cool looking 3D character model on the “game over” screen

If the pictures shown in the comparison are what the final build indeed looks like, that's a really poor showing by Crytek and they will have a lot to answer for over the next few months. Oh well, *hugs his copy of Killzone 3*.

Quite a a shocking difference between Xbox 360 and PS3 there. With a lot of these comparisons, I don't think you would notice the difference without a side-by-side but with Crysis 2 you would notice. I've been playing the demo on the Xbox 360 and the PC. If I was to get this on a console, I'd get it for my Xbox after seeing that.

What a stinky horrible bag of s*** this game is on ps3....Had high hopes to.... Back to cod for me it is.

Getting this on pc but I have a 360 and ps3 and that ps3 version is shocking. If it looks like that on release they should be ashamed. Its a blurry mess that would give you a headache after 10 mins.

Here's a quick summary of the PS3 version. (Demo)

- Shocking bad picture quality and a low resolution makes the game looks blurry and smudgy.

- The frame rate rate is low, as in 20-25 FPS low which is unplayable for me.

It's still a piece of **** game but it's worst by far on the PS3.

Firstly i'd like to apologize to virgin media for wasting 1.4 gig of download on this rubbish.
Crytek should stick to what they do best Top quality PC games and before the fanboys start with the hate a brief rundown of why the PS3 version is utter pants.

stupidly low resolution and ultra jaggies make the picture look a mess.
ridiculous slow downs when things get busy on screen.
very low textures in general
orbital beam practically brings the game to it's knees if your facing it
poor debut for a supposed ps3 ground breaker.

and yes i've played the demo on all 3 platforms and the PS3 is worst by a long shot, at least the 360 version dosen't suffer from incredible slowdowns like the PS3 does,

i gave up on the ps3 version after 4 rounds yet the PC i've amassed quite a fair few kills and got to level 10 and i still sit there playing it for hours, it's great fun just spoilt on the ps3 by the obvious performance problems
