The CryEngine 3 was actually used in Crysis 2, but this seems to be a bit upgraded. They are obviously trying to head of the criticisms of the PC crowd when Crysis 2 was launched complaining about the graphics.

CryEngine 1 was with Farcry, CryEngine 2 was Crysis 1, and CryEngine 3 is Crysis 2/3.

I think that's a really bad looking demo to showcase the engine, looks so cartoony.

they should show the Titanic one or that car destruction one from a while ago, they're so much better.

It's an Nvidia only toad, you can't have several tessellated toads in view on AMD cards or the game slows to a crawl. Crysis 3 is set in a toad infested New York swamp
