Just watched it - nothing in it sadly showing anything, other than just announcing it, will keep my eyes out for more!
Hopefully it will bring back the 'can it run Crysis' jokes and be the best looking game ever made !

Crysis 1 still looks fantastic. In fact it still holds up well today and looks better than many FPS games of 2021/22. Quite outstanding for a game made in 2007
It's the object detail that sets it out from the croud IMO.
I don't have my hopes up for Crysis 4 but hopefully Crysis 1 source code is made available in future and modders (and/or Crytek) work on Crysis RTX - similar to Quake II RTX.

At the time I loved the first one, played through several times. Great game. Hopefully this can offer something new and improved. 
I loved the crysis games have all bought even bought the remasters. Had high hopes for the remasters but was disappointed with them .and now this high hopes for this if they do it right .

No it really doesn't unless it's a small indy developer you comparing to but that isn't really something that should be compared and even then a semi decent indie is way ahead tbh.
if it comes out on consoles it will be held back by them.

Not excited about this at all. Little doubt it will be an Epic exclusive for a year.
Only way I get a little excited is if they make something like the original which was a leap beyond anything else of its time. Crytek simply made too many bad decisions. They need to target only latest gen consoles and provide something that is beyond those even on PC if they want to get attention.

Yeah. Crysis 2 was just rubbish. Crysis 3 was not bad, I may replay it again sometime if I can be bothered to install origin launcher. Last time was when I had a 295x2 many years ago. It was needed to play it at 4K
Crisis Warhead was good, it fit with Crysis very well and had less off the alien crap, more jungle as I recall.
