Crysis bottleneck

i know that no one can play crysis maxed out but i was just wondering is my q6600 restricting the 8800gtx potential (spec in sig)

Mate it wont be your cpu thats limiting the game that is for sure

2.6 is relatively slow Its a 200 MHz overclock.

Crysis is GPU bound though over cpu so I doubt you will see uge gains with more mhz on the cpu.

lol thanks, btw i cant overclock over 2.6 because i have a dell, to be honest im lucky its overclocked in the firstplace, they only allow oc on the q6700 models and up,

ps that small oc 200mhz bumped my 3dmark 06 up by 1000

i doubt that he can get more if he's using a DELL mobo, those things are a pain in the ass.

It's your GTX that is the bottleneck in Crysis, purely and simply.

Probably won't see a card that will max it for some time, but I hope we do.

Aye that's an Opteron 180 though. Won't touch a Q6600, especially if you go SLI.
