Crysis Crossfire

Hi all

I have tried countless methods for trying to get crossfire working in game. I also cant get 64 bit working but that's a separate issue

Has anyone got CF working?

Tried the r_multigpu=1. Where have you stored autoexec?

It just worked for me, no messing about with anything. Though the gains were tiny compared to other games.

Worked for me fine with my 4870X2. Was the first card I had that would play it well @ 1920x1200 + AA.

I don't know how you define "well" but I have an overclocked 5970 and the performance at 1920x1200 with AA is definitely way below what I'd expect for a title that old.

Don't think crysis ever did work in 64bit....

But i think crysis warhead or crysis wars works in 64bit

Crysis doesn't get along well with multi gpu systems.

mine worked. i got around 30-60 fps difference with 4850 cf

Funnily enough Crysis was one game where I always had reasonable or quite good performance. Like someone said above, I too, was able to play at a high resolution with some AA enabled.

I didn't think that it ran badly at all even when I had an amd 4400 dual core cpu with 2gb ram and a 8800gtx tbh. I don't treat it with the reverence some people seem to.

I thought it was Ati Cards that struggled with the 64bit version? It worked on my old GTX260, haven't installed it on my current build, haven't had "the urge"!

Right one and all. I finally found a solution that almost doubled my framerate and pwned Crysis

ATI Xtension

Crysis scales far far better with SLi rather than CROSSFIRE. Maybe thats the problem

It also definitely works on 64 bit systems or at least always has on mine

Sorted now mate, as above. I couldn't get CF to work but now I can max everything and still get constant 50-60fps. Xtension is the way forward for all games. 250 in FEAR2

agree 200%...i did post here already about it working on nvidia cards and that it works fine in 64 bit vista and win 7 but my post was deleted...prolly cause i told the truth(my opinion) about ATI gpu's,maybe ill get suspended again for the 2387th time

Maybe the Problem is that nothing that both of you have said in this thread goes anyway to fixing the issues that the OP is having with his hardware which he has now sorted out anyway.

The only relevance your comments have in this thread would be in reply to the one person who said that Crysis doesn't get along well with multi gpu systems. which neither of you quoted & most likely was not referring to anyway.
