Never had an issue playing this game with dx10 and 4xAA with res at 1680x1050 until last week! now the screen is very bright with polygons!! the temps on both cards are fine and i have uninstalled then reinstalled the drivers for them but the problem still persists only with this game as all other games are perfect. this happens with no AA and dx9 also!! the cards are running stock speeds!! anyone?

It could just be that crysis is stressing one of the cards enough that it tips it "over the edge"?

Have you tried something else which is demanding, like say furmark? (does furmark support SLI?)

I will reduce the oc on my system and try furmark! will post results.

Sounds good.

The CPU overclock certainly shouldn't result in dodgy textures or anything. When you push the CPU too far, things just tend to crash. Video card problems can leads to "rubbish data" being passed to the monitor, such as you're seeing now.

but would that have shown up with the other games?

Perhaps. However, certain games can stress a graphics card more than others.

My mates pc when I was trying to max out the overclock on his nvidia card would run every game fine except tiger woods of all things which had polygons all over the place and would eventually crash.

So as suggested, try each card on their own and remove your cpu/ram overclock to ensure its just the graphics cards being tested.

Also you might want to try re-installing crysis as it may just be some corrupt crysis files causing the problem.

right i clocked my system back to stock and again i still have the problem.I reclocked my system back to 3.8 and also ran furmark stability test for 5 min reaching 82oc and 79oc on the cards and no artifacting running 1680x1050 with no AA.!!

Is there any files created with the game? For example the game bf2 has its own folder in my documents directory. This folder has the vertex shader files stored in there and sometimes I found if they got corrupt it would cause similar problems to what you are saying here.

Check to see if you have anything similar with Crysis.

Or just uninstall the game and reinstall it making sure you remove any profile data.

At last got it sorted!!! :D tried everything that was mentioned to no avail. big thnx to all who posted. it turned out that it was an underlying driver issue! I had done a quick driver unistall previously through programs and features in control panel which was the problem. this time i started in safe mode and used driver sweeper and rebooted and the rest is smiles all round :D. game is running like a treat!
