After I have been playing Crysis for a few moments online I always get this effect come up. The screen shot shows after I have exited the game to get a screenshot.

Why is it doing this?

TIA,
Yanto.

Might be worth uninstalling the graphics drivers and trying the new 169.17's just released.

I have the latest drivers, well there about a week old, when were the new ones released?

Only spotted them 10 minutes ago on this forum lol. Check a couple of posts down.

Haven't tried them out yet, but in your case I'd give them a go. If they hadn't of just come out I would have said to try re-installing the 169.09's anyway. This way you get to try newer hopefully better drivers.

If i download the latest drivers, and install them will they just overright the old ones? or do the old ones need unistalling first?

Noooo, never do it that way! Download Driver Cleaner Pro (freeware), uninstall the current drivers, restart in safe mode, use DCPro to get rid of old files, then install the new drivers.

I'll do it tomorrow lol.

thanks for you help mate :p

just would like to know but why restart in safe mode ? is there some thing wrong with useing driverclean on normal boot?

just want to check to make sure i not doing it the wrong way lol

I've always installed nVidia drivers straight over the older version for years, and never had any issues. I know a few others on these forums do the same without any problem.

The only time I get any sort of crazy graphic error is when my Graphics Card has busted (happened with two 9800pro) - seemed to be from heat (the first one had melted parts on it :O) so maybe it's overheated?

If it does it in other games/carries over to the desktop then I'd say that applies to you...but if it's only after exiting Crysis...then I don't know.

Mine only happened in Call of Duty 4, not CoH, BioShock or Portal, until it got totally clogged up then the error happened from boot without running any games
