Just got a pc zone and it had a 6 page preview of Crysis multiplayer element. From the looks of it it has a lot of potential! with reward and leveling system which mixes the best parts of BF2 and CSS together. You earn money (points) then use them to buy equipment, weapons or vehicles like CSS and you can level up like BF2 through privates, generals etc. Balancing system goes along the lines of if u kill a higher ranked player you gain more money.

4 game modes Tactical DEathmatch, Team Deathmatch, Tactical CTF, Power Struggle. 32 player servers. Capture facilities around the map such as Heavy vehicle plants.

Theres some nice screenshots in the preview aswell

Yeah i read about the Power Struggle mode on a fansite (can't remember which one) and it sounded interesting. Nice to see some Devs are still making an effort to make things a little different.

I hope the multiplayer has a decent front-end like the one in CSS. The front-end in BF2 feels like its running on a computer with onboard graphics.

Why do developers find it so difficult to get this right?

Can you see anyone knocking hl2:css off the top spot?

They can't just do eye-candy and expect to create a brilliant game, which they must realise!

If CS:S was at the top spot... CS 1.6 is still top, though uses the same menu system anyway :p

Definatly could be special, I've been reading up and apparently some battles may last for up to a day or something  That would be some serious fun if you were playing with a good group of people.
