Hi Guys,

I have the below system and im just wondering if im going to struggle to run Crysis on this system when it is finally released! If you think it is not suitable please let me know how you think i could upgrade it, obviously i dont want to spend sheds of money becuase i only just upgraded at the beginning of the year. Im guessing the best option is to go down the DX10 route, but your help would be appreciated. I dont want to take up loads of your time so just a few answers would be great!

Intel Core 2 DUO E6300 "LGA775 Allendale" 1.86GHz (1066FSB) - OEM
Gigabyte GA_965P_DS3 (Socket 775) PCI-Express DDR2 Motherboard
Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro CPU Cooler (Socket 775)
GeIL 2GB (2x1GB) PC6400C4 800MHz Ultra Low Latency DDR2 Dual Channel Kit
OCZ ModStream 520w ATX2.2 Power Supply
Nvidia 7950GT
Running windows XP pro.

Cheers guys.

Any relativley low cost solutions?
regarding GFX card the 2900pro comes to mind?

Also i read somewhere that people who are running this game on DX9 wont be able to see all of the "special graphics" on multiplayer, such as shooting down trees etc. Which i really dnt want to happen!

I don't think he needs to worry about his CPU at all, especially if it's overclocked to at least 2.8GHz.

The weak spots in his system for Crysis are his graphics card (extremely important) and only having 2GB RAM (possibly not important but I get some major texture-caching think Battlefield 2 and 1GB.)

My processor is being overclocked today so hopefully that will do.
I dont mind upgrading my Graphics card, but im not sure what i should be upgrading to, 2900pro or a 8800 i think most people will say? Should i be going down the DX10 route? if so what else would i need if i got a new GFX card.

I didnt know what speed he was running the cpu at but if its overclocked well then that will be just fine , i still think a 7950gt card would be plenty good enough for now even though it isnt DX10 card but if you want to play it in high res then yes a new gfx card is a good idea , what monitor do you use and at what res do you play games ?? i will upgrade my gfx card when the next nvidia-ati cards are out .

cheers, i have just done my first overclock, but it has not gone well at all! i have posted results in overclocking and cooling forum. I want the game to look as good as possible really, but obviously by sending least amount of money! i want this game to be set up and ready for Far Cry 2 next year also, i currently have a 19" monitor but i think its a cheap make "Hanton" got it from ebay!! and i usually run 1280 X 1024 resolution
