Crysis on 3 monitors (video inside)

I can, but only if the display/drivers are set up to add black borders, or in windowed mode.

Full-screen in non-native resolution, can't do it. Totally unplayable.

I even avoid games with GRAW/STALKER style deferred AA because they're unplayably blurry, but I think that's a bit more extreme than most people. I think most would agree with me about resolution though.

I either play in 1680x1050 on my 20" Samsung or in 1366x768 on my 32" Samsung (and yeah that extra 6px matters a lot in my opinion.) :p

oh dear oh dear :|.

Crysis still looks absolutely brilliant played at 1440x900 on a 1920 monitor with no AA so quit yo jibba jabba:rolleyes: Unplayable!! Get a life man.

Nice one btw OP:cool:

I disagree, but I guess that's not allowed.

Pinter75 has taken my criticism in a mature manner and discussed the issue, why can't you? Since he was the one I was talking to in the first place, why don't you go and play with your toys while the grown-ups talk?

Anyone who says its unplayable is just too fussy tbh. I find that sure it isnt quite as sharp, but you dont get blurring and it certainly isnt that noticeable that it affects the gaming experience

beautiful ^^

only played nfs carbon at non native res ....didnt look that bad tbh.
even tho i do try and play in native for that added sharpness.

Pinter..that looked superb...dunno i ain't gonna get this game, but your set-up would look dandy with flight sim X

nice frames, dude :D

edit: to the others: stick to the native res with a tft :)

aha! fellow Triplehead2Go owners!

I have one - was there anything special you had to do to get it to go into 3840x1024 or just set it? I know some games use scaling so that you lose loads of the top and bottom like centering a desktop but games like Half-Life2 and Just Cause work ok.

Anyone know how to force games to show extra sections rather than stretching it and losing things?

Its just the game running in a very wide resolution, split over 3 displays. The side ones do add a peripheral vision effect, you can see stuff out of the corner of your eye. Makes tracking enemies easier.

Just use your GXM Setup program to add wideview 3 monitor resolutions. These will then appear in your windows settings. You may have to disable any secondary outputs on your GFX to get them to show in windows display properties.

Once you have done this, and they appear in your display props, most games will allow you to set that resolution (most just look at what your windows desktop can use).

its set up in windows absolutely fine, its the games that do it - some, such as guild wars / bioshock cut off bits from the top and bottom to stretch the picture (i.e. you lose some of the weapon and cant see things happening above you)

LOl,

Have been clearing out my back bedroom and have thrown out years worth of games mags as far back as the old c&vg mags with donkey kong etc. i had to have a look through them for nostalgias sake (god I cant spell) , Anyhow I look at some of the old games and with their blocky graphics (dungeon master etc) and it brought a lump to my throaght remembering how fantastic they were at the time. I guess I'm trying to say we are splitting straws here. Crysis looks amazing to me. I play at 1680x1050 and prefer to play native but you cant take it away ow fantastic things look these days even when not native.

Dont mean this post to argue with anyone just to say how excited I am at how far things have come :)

Hope you all have fun

Deks
