Crysis Problems

Could always try it on Windows 7? I've found it more stable for just about everything myself.

I was thinking of it the other day, Just need a blank disk to make an installation CD, right?

Windows 7 will need a blank DVD, it's a 4gig Iso I think.

Ive had this problem too recently, and im pretty certain its the drivers (although the latest WHQL's i think have sorted it out). The previous WHQL's and betas all gave me the same error message like yours, only using these drivers -

http://www.nvidia.com/object/winvista_x86_182.50_whql.html

fixed the issue for me, which i used until the most recent WHQL's.

not read any of the above but that is driver issue. Its common with nvida cards and happens on a lot of recent games and then you have to wait for new drivers to fix it.

In this case i presume you are just running old drivers.

Might be worth running driver cleaner then and doing a new completely clean driver install.

Well... at the moment all seems okay *knocks wood* but if the game does crash like that again then I'll grab those drivers in that link above

I had a similar problem last year with my 7900GS under xp 32-bit. Started with a few games but got worse and worse as time went on...finally managed to narrow it down, and it ended up being almost constant memory errors. A shame, I liked that card

Point is, I dont think it's possible to pin this error message down to a single issue, but the drivers look promising. Hope it works

Well, so far I've had a decent few hours of Crysis without any crashing

Temps seem to reach around 59 degrees and everything seems alright

sooo... hmmm, not sure what the problem has been but thanks anyway guys.

Happy to help mate, I'd still use this as an excuse to try out Windows 7 if I was you, much better than Vista if you ask me, even in RC guise!

It's great that you are loving Windows 7 RC! I agree with you -- anyone who has yet to try Windows 7 RC out definitely should! There are so many great features and benefits aside from UI changes (minor). To learn more,
