The more I play this the more I’m going off crysis no way it can touch the original not a fan of ray tracing at .

some aspects (lighting, it's all people talk about these days)look slightly better but some textures and geometry,rocks etc even the physics used for destruction look absolutely terrible and are such a downgrade from the original.
It's clear that this was a remaster for the consoles only to bring them up to a level the PC version was at 10 years ago. Shame.
I bought in the sale (with a coupon so it only cost ~£9) just to see it for myself.
btw it's such a shame they didn't wait to release it in this state instead of its original buggy rendition. So many people have since disregarded it as a cash grab.

Looks pretty basic, apart from perhaps the draw distance.
I disliked Crytek for some time now due to all the underhand technical tricks they use on pre-release media 
This makes me laugh though €140K to apply Deunvo for a year on this game & also someone internal leaking 2 is also getting remastered! I doubt this game even sold that level of copies so why pay so much to DRM it is madness no wonder they are close to bankruptcy!

Sometimes I cannot get over how crap the games industry has become, just like Hollywood trying to revive their old stuff which then flops and they wonder why.
Keep on recycling the same old stuff expecting the same success of the past.

Mate I had a bad cpu had to rma it last week just got my new cpu into the pc last nite that’s why I haven’t been about lately lol. But all good now thanks to OCUK with there brilliant rma service kudos guys .

Played this quickly in Ultrawide 1440p runs really nice everything set to high following the new patch.

FPS drops are still brutal with water set above medium and very high object quality.
