crysis settings

got crysis for xmas and have just installed it,

spec is in the sig and im running it on all medium on 1680 x 1050 and only geting about 25fps and when any action starts it drops to under 10.

i thinking this is alittle low for what i am using.

are there any particular nvidia drivers i should use that work better with crysis?

im on 169.25 atm, think there beta. im also using vista64.

edit* im also unable to run the crysis64 exe for somereason.

I get better FPS with higher settings than you on my worse (but not by much) rig. I guess it's because of Vista. I can't help you there mate

I get quite good performance on 1440x900 (highest my monitor will go) with everything on very high (bar processing as motion blur makes me ill).

E6400 @ 3Ghz
2GB DDr2 @ 840
8800GT

ive talked to a friend who has an 8800gts and rest similar to me and he is gettting 50 - 60 fps with medium/high settings on same res but he is on xp, could my crap fps be down to vista?

Bets is on vista, have a look at some support forums dedicated to crysis for your crysis64.exe error.

a little update, ive just downloaded SP1 for vista and it has made a huge difference in fps figures. im now on everything high and geting 25 - 35 fps.

im on 1680 x 1050 all medium at 45fps with a 8800gt sc and e6750 stock, 2gb ocz

with xp though, so vista could be the problem,

Hope to get this soon, what sort of setting will my rig run? in sig. 1400x900. Med or high? i know ultra will be asking to much lol

medium perfectly fine, high will run fine but pushing it, low fps then

i got it sorted now got high/very high settings with decent fps
