Better be developed for PC and then scaled down to the consoles, otherwise CryTek would just be going backwards with their technology. :\
Well they'll be using the same engine, which was developed for the PC from the ground up. So you've nothing to worry about there.
I'm guessing this game will have us running around some of the same bits of the island trying to find our squad member (whatever his name was) with some tweaks. And then maybe a few new areas as well.
Yes but will they develop it anymore for this game? Probably not.
I like CryTek because they're pretty much the only thing stopping every damn game being released on the fugly UE3 engine for the next 3 years.
There have been so many improvements it's really hard to know where to start. Adding native support for DirectX 10 and Vista, re-working our multi-threading approach to support the latest multi-core processors, implementing our greatly expanded integrated physics system, adding a completely new animation system which seamlessly combines procedural and pre-recorded animations, and replacing much of the need for creating game-side C++ code and LUA scripts with the output of our visual flow graph editor, are just a few of the highlights

About time we got to see that actual nuclear explosion we saw in the awesome video running up to Crysis.
It'll be for consoles and maybe pc. They've laid heavy hints around the time crysis came out that they were working on something for consoles. Might just be a console multiplayer game.
This will definitely be out for the PC, they wouldn't spend all those years building an engine for the PC and then not bring out the full trilogy of games. But I'm sure we'll see them ported to consoles as well, as soon as the engine is up and running.
Also they're already working on a game for consoles and a Wii game which isn't an FPS.
